Before update to Windows 8.1, you should make sure items below.
- Back up your files.
- Recovery is required in order to return to Windows8 after updating to Windows8.1.
- Execute the recovery by using a backup of your data.
- Contact apps suppliers about application compatibility for Windows8.1
- Get the latest critical and important updates.
- Wacom will be not responsible for data loss due to update to Windows8.1
Update steps.
- Click Setting on Charms> Change PC setting > check Windows Update, install the update program
- From Start screen click the Store tile.
- Click Update to Windows 8.1 for free
- Click Download. The download and installation will take 1~2 hours or longer depending on local network and download site situation.
- Click Restart Now when you see a message telling you that your PC needs to restart.
- After tablet completes restarting, sign in following the prompt. Please refer to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/update-from-windows-8-tutorial
- After update to Windows 8.1, go to Start > Desktop > click Desktop under Favorites > Control Panel > Programs and Features, uninstall current Wacom Tablet driver, reboot Cintiq Companion.
- Install the latest Wacom Tablet driver from http://www.wacom.asia/en/tablet-drivers?tid_1=244&tid=162&=Apply
